Importing Objective Lists

By following these steps, you can import objective lists that have been exported from Accelerated Maths. This is useful when you want to use an objective list from another school that is using Renaissance Place on another server.

Who can do this with default capabilities?

School Network/RP Administrators, School Network Staff, School Administrators, School Staff and Teachers

Make sure that you have the libraries that were used to create the objective list so no objectives are removed when you import.

Accelerated Maths makes the user who imports a list the owner of that list; if you want to change the owner, edit the list information.

  1. On the Home page, click Accelerated Maths, then Assignment Book. The Assignment Book lists the students who are in one class. The class name is shown above the list of students. If you have access to more than one school, use the School drop-down list to choose a school. If you have more than one class, and you want to select a different class, click the Class drop-down list and select the class name. Group selection does not apply to this task.

On the Home page, click Accelerated Maths, then Libraries. The Libraries page will list the libraries that are available for one school. If you have access to more than one school, use the School drop-down list to choose a school.

  2. Click Manage Objectives on the left side of the page.
  3. Click Import Objective List.
  4. Click Browse (or Choose File in Safari) to begin choosing the file you want to import.
  5. In the dialog box that appears, find and select the objective list file. (The file name will end with .xmldata.) Then, click Open or Choose.
  6. Click Next >.
  7. Check the Objective List Details to make sure this is the list you want to import.
  8. If you are an administrator, choose whether you want to share this list by clicking one of the options.
  9. If you chose the Assignment Book in step 1, you can assign the list that you are importing to the class you had selected in the Assignment Book by ticking the box labeled Assign this list to your current class.
  10. Click Import.
  11. Click Done when the program tells you the list has been imported. (Note: If your list name matched one that is already in the database, Accelerated Maths will give your list a new name, and this page will show you the name.)
