Regenerating Assignments in the Assignment Book

Follow these steps to regenerate any paper unmarked practice, exercise or test, either with the same problems or with new problems. To regenerate an assignment, follow the steps below. Note:  If you want to print assignments double-sided, and your printer is capable of duplex printing, use the Paper Assignments preference to enable duplex printing before you follow these steps.

Who can do this with default capabilities?

School Network/RP Administrators, School Administrators and Teachers

  1. On the Home page, click Accelerated Maths, then Assignment Book. In the Assignment Book, if you have access to more than one school, use the School drop-down list to choose a school. If you have more than one class, click the Class drop-down list and choose the class for which you want to regenerate assignments. If you need to regenerate assignments for a specific group in the class, select the group from the Group drop-down list.

  2. Note: If you see an Install Plug-in link, click the link and download and install the Renaissance Place Print plug-in before you continue. Then, go back to the Assignment Book.

  3. If you want to regenerate an assignment for one student, click the name of the student who needs an assignment regenerated. The Student Detail page will list the student's outstanding (unmarked) assignments first. Click Regenerate in the row for the assignment that you want to regenerate. (If you need to see assignments for a different group, select the group from the Group drop-down list.)
  4. If you want to regenerate an assignment for more than one student, tick the box next to the name of each student who needs an assignment regenerated. Next, on the left side of the Assignment Book page, click Regenerate/Delete. On the Regenerate/Delete page, click the type of assignment you need to regenerate; then, click Regenerate.

  5. On the next page, click an option to choose whether to regenerate the assignment with the original problems or new problems.
  6. If the assignment has free-response problems and you choose to generate the assignment with the same problems, you can also choose whether to regenerate the assignment itself, the answer key or both. Tick the box for each item that you want.

When you are ready to continue, click Regenerate.

  7. By default, the assignment(s) will print directly to your default printer; when printing is complete, click Done.
  8. If you have chosen to preview assignments using the Paper Assignments preference, the assignment(s) will appear in an Adobe Reader window. To print the assignment(s), click the printer button in the row of Adobe Reader buttons. (In Adobe Reader X and XI, the Adobe Reader buttons may be hidden until you move the mouse over the bottom center of the document or press F8.)
