Book Level Settings

Who can do this with standard capabilities?

Although only administrators can change book level settings by default, teachers and staff can be given access to the Book Level Settings pages if the Manage Book Level Settings capability is enabled for them.

In the Book Level Settings, you can change the book level currently used in the software and update student quiz records to reflect changes that you have made to book levels for individual quizzes.

ATOS 100 is no longer supported.

To get to the Book Level Settings page:

  1. On the Home page, click Accelerated Reader, then Manage Books and Quizzes.
  2. Choose the school that you would like to work with from the School drop-down list.
  3. Click Book Level Settings under Actions on the left side of the page.
  4. Click any one of the links to perform that Book Level Settings tasks as described below:
    • Click Set Current Book Level to choose which book level type you want to see and use throughout the program. The setting currently in use is shown in this page. ATOS is the default.
    • Click Update Student Records to update student quiz records to reflect any changes you make to Lexile┬« Measures for Teacher-Made quizzes. Updating student records will change the Lexile┬« Measure values that are shown in the Class Record Books and on certain reports. Student records will be updated for the active school year.
  5. Click Done when you have finished.
