View Students' Certification Targets and Achievements

When you set certification targets and enable the TWI Monitoring Preference, Accelerated Reader automatically monitors student progress toward targets and awards certifications when students meet the requirements.

For definitions of reader certifications and their requirements, click Reader certifications in the list at the end of this topic.

Who can do this with standard capabilities?

School Network Administrators, School Administrators, Teachers

  1. On the Home page, click Accelerated Reader, then Record Books and Targets.
  2. If necessary, choose a school and class from the drop-down lists on the Record Books and Targets page. (If you want only the Accelerated Reader RP classes you are assigned to as a teacher to be in the class list, regardless of the school, choose My Classes from the School drop-down list.)
  3. Click Reading Practice Certifications in the list of Class Record Books.
  4. The View Reading Practice Certifications Record Book page lists the students in your class. For each student, the page shows the certification target or the last certification achieved. It also includes the date the student started work on the certification and the date the student achieved the certification (if it has been achieved and there is no new target). The Status column shows you whether the certification is in progress, has been achieved or needs approval and whether a new target is needed.
  5. To see a list of a particular student's achieved certifications, click the student's name.

When you do this, the View Student Reading Practice Certification Records page shows you which certifications the student has already achieved as well as the student's current certification target, if any. If the list of achieved certifications is long, it will be split into multiple pages; click Next >> or << Previous to move through it.
