Editing the General Preference
Who can do this with standard capabilities?
School Network/Program Administrators, School Network Staff, School Administrators, School Staff and Teachers
The General Preference is the only user preference in MathsFacts in a Flash. All other preferences affect an entire class or school.
Any user can choose a personal setting for this preference.
The General Preference allows you to specify how many rows you want to see at one time in a vertical list while you are working with the program.
The other items in the list will be visible when you select Next >> or << Previous.
The default is: 20 rows.
Notes:
The General Preference does not affect (1) lists of students or (2) lists with information that extends horizontally. Most of the MathsFacts in a Flash lists are one of these two types.
The General Preference is not a class preference and will not be copied when classes are copied from one year to the next.
To edit the preference:
-
On the Home page, select MathsFacts in a Flash, then Preferences. The Preferences page opens.
-
If necessary, select a school and class from the drop-down lists (above the preferences tables).
-
Under the User Preferences, select General.
The General Preference page opens.
-
Select the Rows field, delete the existing number and type the maximum number of rows you want to see in vertical lists on the MathsFacts in a Flash pages.
To return to the default setting (20 rows), select Default.
-
Select Save.
