Question Types

This is also known as Open-Ended. The program will not display any answers for your students to choose from. Students use the keyboard to type the answer, then press Enter or return to go to the next problem.

Some levels cannot use Free Response. For a list of the levels, see Levels That Use Only Multiple Choice. Levels that cannot use Free Response always use Multiple Choice (even if Free Response is set as the question type).

Use this option to define which keys on the keyboard will correspond to the left, middle and right answer choices students will see. The defaults are A, S and D.

  • The keys you can use are the alphabet keys.
  • You cannot use number or symbol keys.
