Tablets and MathsFacts in a Flash
Students can use tablets to work in both MathsFacts in a Flash Renaissance Place and Renaissance Home Connect. To use these programs on tablets, students must know the web address for each program.
To use tablets with MathsFacts in a Flash, you do not need to download or install an app. You must either connect to your school's Renaissance Place web address (found on the Downloads page) or to your school's Renaissance Home Connect web address (found in the Renaissance Home Connect Informational Letter).
Be prepared to provide students with their user names and passwords. You can see and print a list of student user names and passwords in Renaissance Place. You may also contact your school administrator or school network administrator.
Complete the following steps before students use MathsFacts in a Flash on a tablet:
Establish an Internet connection.
If students are working at school, establish a connection to Renaissance Place.
The Renaissance Place web address (URL) for your school is found on the Downloads page.
Sample web address: https://hosted123.renlearn.com/456789
If students are working at home, establish a connection to Renaissance Home Connect.
The Renaissance Home Connect web address (URL) for your school is found in the Renaissance Home Connect Informational Letter.
TOPS reports do not print automatically from tablets.
When students complete a practice or test on a tablet using MathsFacts in a Flash Renaissance Place, they can tap a TOPS button to view a summary of their work. Next, to print the TOPS Report, students tap Print.
On tablets, additional printer setup may be required in order to print the report. The ability to print from a tablet depends on the type of tablet being used, the type of printer being used and/or the program or system being used to connect the tablet to a printer. For assistance, contact your school's IT Department/ICT Support.
TOPS reports can be printed from the Assignment Book.
