Checking Your Connections to Renaissance Place (Support)
Follow the steps below to make sure that you can access all servers used by your Renaissance Place site.
Who can do this with default capabilities?
School Network Administrators, School Network Staff, School Administrators, School Staff, Teachers
If you have not logged in yet, open your web browser and go to the page where you choose how to log in (as a teacher/administrator or student). Then, click Check Software Requirements.
If you have logged in, click Product Administration on the Home page, then click Download Supporting Software.
Click Support on the left side (or top) of the next page.
The Support page can help you diagnose connection problems to the servers associated with your Renaissance Place site. Connection problems can prevent you from using Renaissance Place.
Under Connection Details, when the test is complete, check your download and upload speed for the Renaissance Place site. If you are noticing slowness while using Renaissance Place, the connection information can help you diagnose the cause. This test is run automatically when you come to the Support page.
Under Server Details, the diagram shows you whether you are able to connect through your school firewall to Renaissance Place servers used by your site. Tick marks in a green circle show that you are connected; Xs in a red circle show connection problems. Below the diagram, you will see the status for Renaissance Place servers. Specific servers are listed if you cannot connect to them. If you are unable to connect to live chat support, you will see ! instead of an X since chat is not required to use the software.
